This single fronted house in Northcote has been completely transformed in this major renovation. With only the facade remaining, the house required a lot of attention, being rebuilt almost entirely. The original brickwork on the party wall was uncovered and still remains in the hallway, with ceiling heights dropping here for the sleeping and studying pod of the house. A new heated slab at the rear drops down in stages to a sunken lounge out to the garden. At the back of the block a new separate building houses a playroom and additional bathroom, and is topped with a beautiful rooftop deck maximising all of the long, narrow block.
